Our Pillars

Specialized Supports

We work with communities to strengthen supports for people who are thinking about suicide, those who have attempted suicide, and individuals and families grieving a suicide loss. This includes improving access to care, developing new programs, and creating pathways to timely, compassionate support.

Public Awareness

We promote open, hopeful conversations about suicide and mental health to reduce stigma and increase understanding. Through community events, campaigns, and educational resources, we encourage help-seeking, foster hope, and empower people to support one another.

Training & Education

We build community capacity by providing evidence-informed suicide prevention training and connecting people, organizations, and sectors to work together. Through education, collaboration, and shared learning, we help create stronger networks of support.

Means Safety

We work with communities to reduce access to common means of suicide during times of crisis. By promoting practical, evidence-informed safety strategies—such as safe medication storage and disposal—we help create safer environments while supporting broader suicide prevention efforts.

Research and Evaluation

We use research and evaluation to better understand community needs, measure impact, and guide continuous improvement. By partnering with researchers, people with lived and living experience, and communities, we help ensure our work is informed by evidence and responsive to local priorities.
